Server dat file size

Trying to reduce the size of the 40sig.dat and 40sig.idx files on the
server for Tradestation to remove older data no longer needed. Deleting
out the older data does not reduce the file sizes significantly.

I believe I saw the solution to this this posted on the list but I
cannot find it in the omega-list archive, etc.

Perhaps someone could repost it or knows the solution offhand.
