My understanding is that MetaStock won for software < $500, TradeStation won
for > $500. They seem to have a category so that everyone can win and thus
advertise TASC Readers Choice Awards in their ads. Quite self serving on
both parts.

They have the surveys in a certain issue of their magazine. It is basically
a popularity contest of who owns what, not an analysis of which software is
best.

I would like to hear their version as well. I would also like to suggest to
them that instead of, or at least in addition to, the Reader's Choice
Awards, that John Sweeney or someone, give awards based on technical merit
in different categories.
