You're just about a week late and about 10 pounds short.

If you had read my messages and the other messages on the thread a little more
carefully, you'd have realized we were talking about IoMega Zip/E-Z Drives which are
high density "floptical" systems based on Rom-based Hardware compression; 100Meg. in
the IoMega Zip Drives and 1+Gig on the IoMega "E-Z' drives. Also mentioned were DAT
tape back-up drives which have capacities up to 24 Gig.

We were not talking about PKZIP, which by the way can easily compress several Gigs at
a time with the fully licensed version. The only limitations on PKZIP are on the
un-licenced version.

WE discussed the problems with both Win3.1x and Win95 *.ini, *.dat, *.dll and
registry files, and suggested that Norton Uninstaller & Cleansweep did system scans
and was capable of effective program transfer with out losing all that precious data.

WE discussed to the use of utilities like partition magic for complete and seamless
partition copies from one hard-disk drive to another.

We also discussed the different methods of transfer, via direct idee cable, direct
cable via external ports, and finally via lan/wan. We also discussed the use of
various transfer utilites like Laplink, Direct Cable, Xtree, Norton Commander, and
the various Internal windows tranfer modules.

But thanks for you contributions all the same.
