SC4 / TS4 difference

First question on SC4:

This is not a Y2K complaint or a bash. It is a question about Y2K
compatibility of EL code that runs on SC4 now but might not after
the Y2K patch. I am considering upgrading from an earlier version of
SC to SC4 end of day. Omega assures me that a Y2K patch will be
available in the future for SC4 at no cost, and I take them at their
word.

I intend to use existing third party EL systems which were generated
by the TS PowerEditor. I will not be able to modify that code with
my SC4. That is OK if the up coming SC4 Y2K patch doesn't require a
re-compile. Is there anything about PowerEditor compiled output code
that controls how SC processes dates? Is it naive to assume that
because a lot of people are using SC4 to run third party PowerEditor
generated code (some even being password protected), that Omega's Y2K
patch will not jeopardize continued use of that code?

Second question on SC4:

I haven't seen a detailed comparison of SC4 EOD vs. TS4 when used
only for EOD. It has been said that SC4 charting, analysis,
optimization, built in EL functions, etc. are exactly the same as
TS4. And that the only differences about SC4 is that there is no
PowerEditor and no real-time server. Could someone please answer the
following (again EOD only):

Will SC run any DLL that TS will run?
Are TS and SC built in functions the same?
Will SC run any PowerEditor compiled code that TS will run?
Will SC download same data source as TS (daily over phone line)?
Will SC import/export ASCII, Metastock, etc. data format like TS?
Will SC do same back testing as TS?
Will SC do same optimization as TS?
Will SC issue same system testing reports as TS?
Are SC charting options and appearance the same as TS?
Does SC chart same maximum number of bars as TS?

Thanks, Barry
