Dear Comrades:

I have TS 4.0 build 19.6 and Omega Server 4.00.11 (Bonneville Data feed)
with TV cable box. My computer is Pentium Pro 150 Mhz, 128 MB RAM,
Windows NT 4.0 with Service Pack 3. TV Cable box is connected to T/Port
Card Model 1515PT from Telcor Systems Corporation configured as COM 3.

When I restart Omega Server it give me a message FAILURE TO ESTABLISH
COMMUNICATION. COM3 NOT PRESENT. Then I have to close the server and
restart it. After several closings and restarts, communication
established and then the system runs fine.

As I grow older my luck changes. Now days, I have to rebut computer
(powering it down) 3-5 times before Omega Server would be kind enough to
recognize presents of the COM3. And with every week number of times I
have to repeat the exercise growing. What would I do if I run out of 24
hours per day trying to restart the server?

Please, don't suggest not to restart the Omega Server. I thought about
it. But every other day the Omega Server produces the error message
(Security Block is missing) and the only way out of it is to restart the
server.

Very Truly Your,
Scared to death and permanently confused,

Alexander Levitin.
