I contacted DirectTv a month or two ago to ask if they carried any of the quote
feeds. The answer was no and no plans to do so. Surprised me because it would
appear that, with the ability to insert the quote feed into an existing channel,
they could generate more revenue with zero additional bandwidth. This assumption
may very well be incorrect however, as all 3 DBS systems, compress signals to
extreme and some quote data might be lost in the compression/decompression
process.
