pw...security block, MB

the few times i needed a PW a few years ago, it was a major
inconvenience, as the problem always arose during the weekend, & after a
25 - 40 minute on omega help line, lot's of currency & NYSE activity had
passed...but not a problem since TS4.0

howeeeeeeever,

during the previous month or so, my "security block is missing"

once an omega tech walked me thru an analysis of the block & we changed
some code somewhere...don't ask me what or where, although i could
probable locate it...it was a 3-digit code as i recall...

but, i get the same "security block missing" announcement several times
per week now, usually during re-boot, which i have to to almost every
day when TS locks up while i am changing an indicator paramater...

usually finally readsss ok after a few minutes trying to loan "Charting"

during the next 3-weeks or so, i plan to migrate to a new NT machine, &
hopefully, the reinstallation of TS (without W-95 will largely solve the
problem.

omega tech support was very helpfull last week to test the block...but
wouldn't it be nice to not have the block

remember when LOTUS 1-2-3 had some kind of protection scheme...was a
huge hassle...LOTUS finally realized real users (as opposed to 1-time
tirekickers) always (almost i suppose) bot the program to get the
documentation, and most were commercial users &, oh yes, honest

'reckon Omega doesn't want me to use TS on my notebook (for testing,
practice, composition of a system, or any other purpose when i go out of
town for the weekend, while leaving my server & data & news gathering
computer on with its security block...god forbid, if i were to tap into
a data feed while out of town a few days & actually trade off a notebook
TS while my security block was locked back home in my one-person,
5-computer office on the single computer allowable by BMI & Omega.

oh, well, that's the kind of stuff that feeds greater, better, &
sometimes less expensive competitive products.

btw, i got to know mark brown in a TS users group (which turned into a
"look at my stack of paper i created this month to select stocks" club
instead of a "how can i more effectively use TS" group), & found him
most interesting, congenial, informed, & quite a nice guy...mark, i was
not aware you knew all those 4-letter words... & I suspect he is still
the same person...albeit with a burr under his tail (that's a little
west texas humor) ,... i hope he has about let off all his steam, as he
can be very effective in conveying constructive ideas to omega,
daytrader, or whomever we ultimately decide to send our money to for
software.
