Thanks for your reply. I did it again this time without ADX(14).
The problem is that for short time periods ADX plotted fine in
metastock. But for some unknown reason when you increase the time
period to 40, it failed to compute correctly. I have loaded another
chart up this time just to show the ADX(40) to rule out the
ADX(ADX(14),40) possibility. As you can see the ADX(40) was still not
right. As I mentioned previously, I could not duplicate an indicator
between Amibroker and MS and I suspected this is the reason. I used
the start date back to 2000 so that the starting date should not
matter for both softwares.
