Hi!
Yes it is possible to use Yahoo data feed, just not with the
Downloader provided with Metastock. Metastock is trying to promote
Reuters's feed but that is totally logical. I am also using Yahoo's
feed with MLDownloader. It works like a charm. I havent used any other
software of its competition but i am 100% satisfied what i was getting
here. A little bit more work than Reuter's feed but once you set up
everything for yourself it shouldnt be taking much from your time. Of
course the original Reuter's feed is the best in all ways, quality,
comfort, but if you have a small account like mine and end of day data
is good enough than i would absolutely recommend it. The site that
offers MLDownloader does also have a few other nice software to offer,
like my favorite IndicesBuilder. Although that is not yet a complete
solution to my needs, i still love it.
You will have to see for yourself if it fits to your needs, there is a
free trial period for 14 days i think. I could not wait that long and
purchased it after like 6-7 days :)
Oh i almost forgot to share the site with you. Here it is.
