[EquisMetaStock Group] Strange blank gaps in charts running verticaly on all windows - metastock 8.1

I have MetaStock version 8.1.  On some charts I get vertical lines 
gaps.  Basically there is a blank break in chart data and oscillators
- inline in all windows.  The gap is one period, it is the same color
as the background.  Changing the background color does not help - the
gaps still appear.

Any help to resovle this is appreciated.
