Gary, it all comes down to how close to actual trading reality you 
wish to test (and to a lesser extent, develop) your trading strategy.
TradeSim's support is second to none, and the software is being 
continuously improved and developed.  I simply don't know of any 
better (and simple to operate) backtesting software.

The Enterprise version of TradeSim is indispensable if you wish to 
test systems that produce more trade signals than your portfolio 
capital (and attention span) can handle.  I use this version mostly 
because of the nature of my work with my clients.

I traded the Pegasus system ("live" on the Net) for five years, and 
trading results were actually better than the TradeSim simulations had 
suggested - then again, I used a rather large amount of slippage built 
into the simulations, since I like to err on the side of caution.
