Harry, try this instead:

1) Open a clean daily chart (no other windows/indicators) of a 
complete data set, such as an index;

2) Plot the indicator below in a window below the index chart:

   Security("{ place your monthly data path & symbol here }",C)

The MS Security() function is only available in MetaStock EOD v8.01 
and above, or MetaStock Pro versions.
