Perhaps I don't understand, but I tried two different approaches:
neither worked.
1. Plotted a 1 period SMA ON the monthly data/monthly chart. Then did
a Ctrl-C of the SMA to an inner window on the daily chart. Just got a
series of dots; one on the first day of each month.
2) Copied the monthly data to the daily chart. (this plots a series of
dots on the first day of each month). Then plotted a 1 period SMA in
that window. Got 1 dot/month on top of the monthly data dots.
Did I misinterpret what you were suggesting?
