Unless there happens to be a month with more than 2005 days in it, the 
above MS code won't do much except take up formula space.
Try Year()<2005.

Unfortunately yes, and this is not such a terrible thing.
Too many unscrupulous black-box sellers use password-protection to 
hide hindsight-based code in their systems.
