Yes--see below.

Yes

You always lose the results. And you can also lose the test formulas
if you are not proactive. Thorough painful experience of losing system
test formulas that took hours to create, I actually have several
versions of the file. First, I have one that is "almost" the default
that came with MS. That is my baseline. As I increased the list of
formulas I wanted to save, I would periodically create a new version
of the file. They are saved like ST_DATA1.mdb, ST_DATA2.mdb, etc. Then
if I spend a lot of time creating a new test, I try to close MS and
save that version of the file before I actually run the system tester.
Then I reopen MS and run my tests. If I have a problem somewhere
through and have to abort, I saved at least my formulas.
I forget to follow this procedure sometimes, and I usually pay for it.
Another trick is to always copy the newest test formulas you wrote to
a temporary file before running the system tester. Then if MS stops,
at least it is not difficult to recreate it.
But in any case, always periodically create a backup copy of
ST_DATA.mdb. Otherwise, you will eventually find yourself in real
trouble.
