I posted a detailed message about how to fix XP problems but it never
made it on here. I guess it was eaten in hyperspace.
Force XP into win 2000 emulation. Update all video drivers. Turn off
the video acceleration. Block hyper threading in the bios, if you can.
Stop using IE and switch to Mozilla FireFox. That will stop a lot of
the problems with sypware, virus, trojan horses and transponder
parasites.
You can also be having Kernel32 problems also. That's a tough fix.
Win 2000 and Win 2003 are much, much better than XP. XP without SP1
and SP2 is a pretty good OS. Patching always craps up an OS. The same
is true for Win 2000. The patches messed up a lot of stable stuff.
Have fun!
