Here are some notes I made when I was having a similar problem. If
you haven't deleted the old directories, follow what Equis suggested,
below. If you have deleted your old directories, then read the rest,
and you will see how to overcome the problem. Sorry text is not better
organized.

Reconfiguring Charts when the "base" security is moved from one
directory to another. There is no direct way to replace the base stock
on a Chart.

Equis suggested: One thing that might help you recreate your Charts
would be to save the charts as a
template, then apply that template to the "base" data at the new
location and
resave the charts.

This works fine, except :see below.

I deleted the "old" folders (the ones which held the base securities
before I created the templates and applied them to the stocks at the
new data location), along with their Smart Chart sub folders.

Now, when I go to open these Charts, I get two error messages from
Equis. The first ones says: "the folder containing this Smart Chart
data no longer exists, or is not accessible". It is then followed by:
"Insufficient data sources to fulfill price data request".

However, if I click Cancel for both of these error messages, the
Charts open and plot all of the data (now only in the new folders)
just fine.

Obviously the program is for some reason still searching first for the
old data folders.

What I found was, the problem was not in the data, but in the "text"
that I had added to the "base" security (and perhaps other data). I
found this out by trying to copy/paste the text to a new chart. When I
got to the problem text, I would get the same messages as above. The
solution was simply to delete the text, and retype it. Much easier
than re-creating the complete Chart!
