When you get to the Select Securites screen of Perform Trading
Simulation (page 314, Test your Trading Ideas chapter of my Ver 8
manual), you click on the Add Securities button. This opens up the
normal window for selecting stocks (top of page 56 in my manual).
Highlight the stocks you want. Then, before selecting Open, there is a
box in the lower left labeled Periodicity:. Click on the arrow, and
select weekly or monthly, as you wish. Then click on Open.
The securities will now display in the Select Securities screen. Under
the column Periodicity, will be listed what you chose. This is always
a good double-check before you run the simulation. If you want to
change the date range, click on Dates...
Incidentally, this box for choosing the periodicity did NOT function
in Ver 8.0. It was fixed in 8.01, and I assume still works in 9.0.
