I use CSI/UA (Unfair Advantage) for my Futures end-of-day data but they also supply an extensive variety of stock data as well. They have received several reviews as having the cleanest data available and provide corrections on a daily basis. I don't know about stocks, but futures data has lots of errors built into it - the exchanges report erroneous data on a daily basis. The one problem I had with them is that they had some difficulty with their MetaStock format for a long long time, but after working with MS tech support they have fixed that problem and I haven't run into any MS difficulty since that point several months ago. You can also set up data folders that will convert the data (during the download process) not only to MetaStock format, but to text and some other formats (not TC2000) as well.
I have no connection with CSI/UA but since their intense investigation and correction of the UA to MetaStock problem I just have to mention them when the question of an EOD data source comes up.
As you can see below, their annual fee for U. S. stocks and indices is $205 plus a one-time fee of $40 - which includes 10 years of history.
