Adrian, OK, here is what I am looking at and trying to interpret. I
am assuming your chart looks like mine. Middle chart is price with
moving averages and top 3 are OB/OS, DBS5, and DBS10(with mechanical
B/S sig) and bottom 2 are BLine(B/S sig) and BLine Oscillator. I try
not to get tangled up with Bressert's recommendations on the
Oscillator, I rely on the BLine mechanical B/S sig to guide me here.
I try to look at the EMA % Diff for overall view, i.e.: up is good,
down is bad. Ideal is for top 3 and BLine to agree for Buy or Sell.
Look at 5/8/02, 5/20/02, 8/23/02, 10/10/02, 1/2/03, 3/13/03. Now you
don't always get all 4 on the same day.On 5/8 and 5/20 all 4 lined up
but EMA had not committed yet. Judgement call. I believe all 4 trump
EMA here. 7/29/02 Buy EMA turning up and DBS10 and BLine agree. I
listed 12/3/02 as a Sell but on 11/22 BLine gave a Sell and 11/26 top
3 followed suit although EMA was not turning down but on 12/3 all 4
sigs indicated a Sell. On 1/2/03 all 4 indicators gave a Buy and EMA
was turning up.On 1/14/03 BLine gave a Sell and on 1/15 top 3
followed. On 3/12 top 3 gave a Buy and BLine followed with a Buy on
3/13 with EMA turning up. This is the way I look at it and I'm still
in a learning phase and welcome help and constructive criticism.
