correct, you should check to see if you have an available slot, most probably
you need a PCI  card depending on what kind of card you are currently
using (AGP or PCI)???

I need a third monitor.

Am I able to take the previous card and plug it into the mother board and
use it for a third monitor?

I'm not counting on having it be spanned across the other two views, but
need it to just open other applications.

Any advice is appreciated.
