In order to create a text file compatible with the
Metastock Downloader, it is enough your spreadsheet has the following
column headers (first
row):<ticker><per><date><time><open><high><low><close><vol>
The <ticker> column must contain the ticker
name, let say "$INDU", "QQQ" or whatever else.
The <per> column must contains only the
letter D (for daily EOD data) or 60 for horly data for example.
The <date> column must contain the date (just
to be sure, please format the column in Excel as YYYYMMDD). In case of
intraday data, the date will be the same for all rows.
The <time> column must contain the time
formated as HHMMSS. Such column is mandatory only if the data are "intraday"
data.
<open>, <high>, <low> columns are
mandatory only if your data are daily (EOD) data or intraday data with a
specific interval(e.g, 5 minutes, 15 minutes....).
<close> and <vol> columns are
mandatory.
In case of intraday "tick by tick" data you need
only<ticker><per><date><time><close><vol>
All rows must be filled and no other data must be
included anywhere in the sheet. To create the text file, select the
File|Save as... command, and choose from the File type combobox (at the
bottom of dialog) the CSV format.
Before doing that, please check in Control
Panel|International settings|Number page that the Decimal separator option
is setto "." and the List separator option is set to ",".
Save the file and import it using Metastock
Downloader.

I have MetaStock Professional 7.2 and the same version for
the Downloader,plus a subscription to eSignal.The problem is the
Downloader hasn't EUREX futures tickers in its conracts'list: therefore I
can't use Signal's cached data!I have tried to add them manually but
was unable to do so; anyone can
