I don't think I can help you with this one - I have no idea what the problem
is.
I wonder what happens if you export some of your own formulas, then try to
import back over the top of same. That might clarify whether it is the
particular file from Jim/Spyros that you are having problems with, or
whether it's your MS/PC/Windows that's the problem.
If that doesn't get you anywhere then perhaps you should try Equis.
