This is probably because you may have put all your symbols in the <sample>
folder. Metastock only puts the stock data in one place when you select a
directory
and not in every occurance. Try replacing your <sample> directory with the
original sample directory off of your Metastock data CD-ROM and then see if
it works the way you expect it to.
