Theo,

>i noticed that the Zig zag sometimes gives a "reversal signal"

If it didn't sound familiar I would not have created my Zigzag related
indicators and
certainly, I would not have written
the articles for S&C and the Guppy Traders :-)

>i am using the Zig zag with a 3 days moving Average of the zig zag
>and when the Zig zag goes below the 3 day moving average it gives a sell..

Moving averages have nothing to do with zigzag behavior. The fact that in
some cases
MAs crossovers may -indeed- anticipate a zigzag-confirmed reversal, is
accidental.
If you had used PrOsc or MACD or any other tool, you might have similar
success, which
would also be a matter of probability.
I am not implying that such techniques shouldn't be used
-actually TA does this all the time- but it is of utmost importance
to distinguish between objective and subjective methods and tools. The
zigzag falls into the first
category. Zigzags are historical formations illustrating objectively
confirmed trends.
But, if you want to anticipate zigzag reversals or to predict the future
using historical
formations, then you are moving towards subjectivity. We all want to predict
the future but
whether we will succeed or not is a matter of probability (the control of
which depends on our skills).
Our choice of tools, parameters and methods is subjective.
So, if you want to PREDICT an important reversal, then you can experiment
with MAs or other tools.
But if you only want to CONFIRM such a reversal you should use SR ZZT.

>sometimes also the SR ZZ gives a buy (or sell) and the next day it is
undone ??

I you are talking about SR ZZT (SR Zigzag Trend) I hope this is only a
question.
If it is, the answer is NO!:
SR ZZT watches zig() and validates its reversals. If a reversal is
revisable, then
SR ZZT remains unchanged, showing that the previous trend has not changed
yet.
When SR ZZT does change, this means that the reversal indicated by both
indicators will never be revised.
So, SR ZZT is also an OBJECTIVE indicator.
Furthermore, it is always trustworthy, unlike zig(), which suffers from the
well known
"last dynamic leg's disease".

Now, if this is not a question but rather a statement, then I have to know
the details.
Have you really observed such a SR ZZT behavior? If yes, then we have a bug.
Please send me all the
data that lead to this failure. Until now, nobody has observed such a
failure.

>TL : this i cannot get to work , the last item of this drop-down menu is

>because it isnot there ?

After clicking on "to point Macro at" a window containg your methods should
appear.
Does it?
If it does and you do not see my sub there, then the question is:
Where have you put my sub?
Are you sure you pasted it in "ThisWorkbook Code" of Visual Basic?
Maybe you have pasted it in a module instead. In such a case you have to
find that module
and import it.

Alternatively, try doing the job once more:
Open Visual Basic, expand the folders in VBAproject until you locate
"ThisWorkbook",
double-click on it and Copy-Paste my sub to the code area.
Finally, switch to Excel and follow the steps I described to re-locate the
sub and make
a macro.

Does this solve the problem?

Hello again Spyros !

First of all : thanks for your time and appriciated help.

2) something else then Excel Macro's :

i noticed that the Zig zag sometimes gives a "reversal signal"
on one day and undo's it the next day : does this sounds familiar to you
?
( i am using the Zig zag with a 3 days moving Average of the zig zag
and when the Zig zag goes below the 3 day moving average it gives a
sell
mostly confirmed the next day by a SR ZZ validity signal)
sometimes also the SR ZZ gives a buy (or sell) and the next day it is
undone ??)

Then the Excel part :

Please look at my TL remarks :

TL : until here : i get it :)

TL : this i cannot get to work , the last item of this drop-down menu is
(translated)
      "to point Macro at"
i cannot select the
sub named "ThisWorkbook.DeleteDateColumns"
because it isnot there ?

TL : i suppose that i had to bring the macro in
"ThisWorkbook.DeleteDateColumns"
       (which i donot have (anymore)

The things below i have to check still

Spyros : thanks a lot !
