VIX etc.

Theo.

1. I don't think the VIX has a theoretical upper limit.
2. In 1987 it went to 172.79.
3. The VIX history back to 1986 can be downloaded
   in Excel format at
   http://www.cboe.com/MktData/vix.asp
I don't think the Reuters Datalink history
   goes that far back.
4. There are experts of various opinions.

Take care,

Hello Lionel :

Thanks for this badly needed humour :)

If you had send this email in 2000 : i suppose
everybody would have said : where is Lionel talking about
.....................
Change can happen quickly :)

Greetings from rainy Belgium

Theo

P.s.1 Does anybody know if it is possible to download
the VIX indicator chart from Reuters Datalink
or is it possible to create it with a Metastock formula ?

P.s. 2 : This VIX indicator is now CRYING : BUY BUY BUY
and there are some experts expecting a hughe
            run up of the DOW (7800 (?) 8400 (?)
