I am
using 98 now but will be moving to XT later this year. I am not sure if
MetaStock is slow in real time from the disk writing or from the Security and
Prev functions. The first would make a RAM disk worthwhile, the second would
not.

Subject: DayTrading Speed - RAM Disk
    help

    I
find that with MS Pro 7.22 and eSignal that MS runs very slowly and has a
hard time keeping up. eSignal, on the other hand, is handling more data with
no speed problems. I suspect that the MS problem is due to the very slow
speed of writing to the hard drive.
