Nicholas :

1) Thanks !

2) If i work in W2Ksp2 i always
login .

3) it looks like your XP-version
of   the Task
Scheduler
is working ok (if i read your
answer well)

4) Would i ask too much to you to send me your
XP-version of the Task scheduler
     so i can try
it   -at my own risk-  on W2Ksp2  ?

( i suppose and i hope this XP-version is  not
equal too :

Date
Time    Version
Size     File name
----------------------------------------------------
09/27/2000  07:42p  4.71.2195.1  118,032  Mstask.exe
)

( if so it looks like unneccessary to send
it or ?)

 Sorry for the mixed
lettertypes   (it doesnot read easy does it)

Thanks again

  I discovered that in
Win XP, in order to get Task Scheduler to work properly, the user ****must****
have a password set up at log-in.  For a while I wasn't using a password,
to make it easier to reboot.  But, alas, if I want to use Task Scheduler,
  a password became necessary.

    Hello friends,

As stated before i am running into a lot of problems
with the Windows Task scheduler :
After a long search i maybe have found the problem :
    my mstask.exe is outdated (7/12/1999) .
Microsoft tells sp2 "should have"  this newer version : (or
is there a newer update ??)

Windows 2000 The English version of this fix for Windows 2000
should have the following file attributes or later: Date Time Version Size File name
