Bill,
I was extremely impressed with AmiBroker, especially for the price. The software and support
looks to be outstanding. Because my needs are primarily centered around intraday data, I didn't
pursue the AmiBroker package.
Also, my knowledge of NeoTicker is centering on the RT version, as opposed to the EOD version. So
I haven't made a detailed comparison. I don't necessarily know of one....yet, but I plan on
participating in their forum, and I will ask about the NeoTicker portfolio testing capabilities.
I have found that the RT version will load an unlimited number of bars (much like TS2000i) and can
enter and exit on resting stops and limits. More importantly for me, I can overlay a tick based
chart (100 tick bars, for example) on 1 minute data and backtest it. Wow!
I'll keep you posted as I find out more. If any listmember objects to this Off Topic discussion,
I'll gladly take it off list/private. Please YELL if this is true.
Don't get me wrong, Metastock is invaluable to my daytrading. It's the only software package that
I have that will allow me to create a tick composite for the NAZ Mini premium over cash. This
feature alone has more than paid for my MS Pro!
