I use MetaStock EOD but I've been wondering about the demands a R/T product
places on a system myself. Not necessarily MetaStock Pro, but TradeStation
2000i. I've called Omega Research about their RadarScreen. They tell me, even
if I track 3,000 tickers and have 3 R/T charts open, a 350 MHz CPU with 256 MB
is sufficient. I'm not sure I believe that. If I did get it to work, and I
usually do ;^) , I think CPU usage would jump to 100%. I didn't ask them
about stability though. I have heard some complaints about crashing. However,
I don't know if it's because users have misconfigured their systems or if it's
from TradeStation itself. This is where having Windows 2000 would no longer be
an option. To be able to track investments with total stability, you would be
required to install Win2K.
