IE 5.5.x must have overwritten some settings for his cable modem.  Chances are
he already called @Home and fixed this problem.  He probably only has to
reinstall his cable modem or NIC software.  Shouldn't be that hard to fix.  IE
5.5.x also requires you use the latest drivers for other hardware.  Again,
upgrade at your own risk.
