The upgrade information is on the Equis website at
http://www.equis.com/metastock/windows95nt/70upgrade.html.
It is not very clear as to what is new over version 7.03. Most of the
features listed appear to
already be in version 7.03.
There does not appear to be any information about compatibility of the 7.0x
developer's toolkit with the new version (presumably this works just fine).
Also, no statement can be found on compatibility of any purchased add-ins
with the new upgrade. Presumably we will need to
contact each vendor for suitability and/or upgrade costs. A current list
of 3rd party vendor websites would be helpful as well. Here is my known

I did receive this information on Yahoo Clubs from EQUISPR (Equis press
release??):
MetaStock® now contains more ready-made trading tools than ever before.
MetaStock Performance Systems(tm) are 26 new trading systems built into
MetaStock 7.2. These systems are designed to be profitable over a large
database of securities, not just two or three. They have also been shown to
have a high percentage of wins compared with a buy-and-hold strategy. In
addition, other changes have been made in MetaStock, including resizable
formula editor dialogs, the ability for URLs in the custom toolbar to pass
literals (such as symbols), an expanded color palette, and new
Internet-related features that make it more Internet-capable than any other
trading software available.
Traders may choose MetaStock 7.2 on a monthly subscription plan or through a
one-time purchase. The monthly subscription plan includes MetaStock 7.2, the
Professional Package of Reuters DataLink data, and all upgrades as soon as
they become available, at a price of $59 per month. The data includes
unlimited history for all U.S. and Canadian stocks, U.S. futures markets,
and unlimited quotes on all U.S. mutual funds and all indices (market
averages, market indicators, and international quotes). This data package
alone is worth $64.95 per month, making the MetaStock lease a bargain for
Reuters DataLink customers.
MetaStock is also available for a one-time purchase price of $449. Customers
who choose this option will still need to pay for monthly data from Reuters
DataLink or one of five other data providers.
Either option is available through Equis (by phone at 800-882-3040, fax at

through authorized MetaStock dealers.
The new lease option seems to match the AIQ pricing policy (at least for
EOD but probably not real-time and does not include the professional
version???).
It is not clear on how the pricing for real-time feeds are affected.
Hopefully
this information can be found on the Equis website. I believe the Metastock
mentioned for 449 is the EOD version and not the professional version of
Metastock.
The professional in the sentence refers only to the data package.
Hopefully,
Equis will clarify this for us.

Also, not clear if the plug-in is included in 7.2 but probably not along
