Hi Rick,
I use a crossover of Double EMA of MP() of 4 and 8 periods for a
crossover signal. My system,if it can be called that, is quite simple.
Here is how I work it.
1. Scan for a crossover using an exploration. The day of the crossover is
your set-up bar.
2. For a trade to be initiated I prefer an open within the body of the
set-up bar and a close beyond the Hi/Lo of the set-up bar depending on
whether I am going long/short. So the Hi/Lo of the set-up bar plus a tick
are my trigger points which i generally activate through an entry stop .
Once I am in the trade the Hi/Lo of the set-up bar also serve as my stop
loss points i.e. exit stops. Once a trade is on and the stop-loss points
are triggered subsequently on the very same day or the next
day, I am out and I will just forget about the trade as a bad
one.
3. Sometimes it will so happen that the open will be beyond the trigger
points and close within the body of the set-up bar. Such bars I will
avoid for the day and see if a move takes place once again through
the trigger points within the next 2 days. So if the set-up does not
result in a trade with in the 3 days of the set-up bar I will just forget
about the signal.
4. I use two additional inputs while scanning, one to determine the
trendliness and the other to determine that money flow took place on the
day of the set-up bar, "in the direction of the crossover".
These two indicators are propreitory and I would prefer not to
discuss them. I hope you wont mind that.
Hope this is of some help.

How do you have this system set up, as a
Template or somehow as an Exploration.? What time period do you
typically use for you EMA's and what do you use as a trigger
point?
