The answer is "NO", really. QP won't update 2000 stocks per folder. QP is
only compatible with the old Equis/Computrac capacity, i.e. 255
securities per folder. The tickers beyond this capacity (the .MWD price data
files) won't be updated.
Also, It seems Quote Plus has dropped the support of QP Virtual from 2.2.
Therefore, there is no easy access to a entire Metastock database anymore in
my opinion. In 2.1, it was enough to build a Metastock skeleton by virtually
exporting using the IRL group/sector organization. This possibility has
disappeared with QP Virtual... and nothing has replaced it. I think QP would
have better replicated a similar export in their 2.2 Metastock Output
utility. This IRL group/sector organization seems a lotmore useable to me
than 2000 securities folders.
