I've had good results with IB. There fees are lowest I've seen and you
have direct access to all the major ECN's. Occaisionally, their order
screens display incorrect quotes, but, if your using QCharts or some
other real-time monitoring tool, that shouldn't be a problem.
Their order screen is java-based and can be a little klunky, but, you
can assign function keys (F7 - F12, I believe) to automatically buy
and sell a certain set size of shares. This really saves time. You
hit a function key and your order is automatically transmitted.
The price, (at $1 per hundred shares) allowed me to keep a lot more
of my profits. They don't charge for incoming or outgoing wire
transfers. And when I needed some cash, they had it in my bank account
within two days. That's unheard of in the online broker industry.
Most of those guys charge $20 to $30 for such service.

In general it looks great. They cover all major markets, charge very
reasonable fees and provide speedy internet access.
I donīt know how reliable they are and how to count their financial
background is.
happy trading
