database. We have discovered a bug in the symbol database update process. To
ensure that you have the newest symbol database, you can delete

<DIV><FONT face=Arial
size=2>--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------</FONT></DIV>
<DIV><FONT face=Arial size=2>
<DIV> </DIV>
<DIV><FONT face=Arial size=2>I've sent a previous message describing the
problems with setting up an S&P contract with eSignal. The only
trades shown were between 7:44 AM and 1:35 PM MST, when it should have been
7:30 AM to 2:15 PM MST.</FONT></DIV>
<DIV> </DIV>
<DIV><FONT face=Arial size=2>I also spoke with someone this morning (3/29/00)
at Equis, who told me they had received about ten calls on this problem and
told me to call DBC (eSignal) as it was their problem, all they do is 'pass
through the data received from Signal'. I did call </FONT><FONT
face=Arial size=2>Signal, spent about one hour on the phone with DBC
tech support, which was very helpful and finally determined it was not their
problem, they actually connected to the same server MS was connecting to and
retrieved the data, which was correct.</FONT></DIV>
<DIV> </DIV>
<DIV><FONT face=Arial size=2>Rather than spend another hour on the phone,
waiting for someone to pick up at Equis, I started looking around to see if I
could figure it out...</FONT></DIV>
<DIV> </DIV>
<DIV><FONT face=Arial size=2>Well, you have a bug! in your symbol database the
SP contract is configured with start time and end time as.... you
guessed it, 7:44 and 1:35!!!! Once I changed the symbol database
(through the downloader), the problem disappeared...</FONT></DIV>
<DIV> </DIV>
<DIV><FONT face=Arial size=2>After ten calls, you'd think someone at Equis
would at least TRY and find out if the problem was theirs rather than
immediately point a finger at DBC. I'm extremely disappointed in your
tech support. I'm a new MS user and was able to find the problem in about an
hour or so... you'd think support would be able to do better!!!</FONT></DIV>
<DIV> </DIV>
<DIV><FONT face=Arial size=2>Please correct the symbol database so that my
changes do not get overwritten when I update it.</FONT></DIV>
<DIV> </DIV>
<DIV><FONT face=Arial size=2>Thanks</FONT></DIV>
