Not sure about this Ron. If you can't enter/exit at specific prices, it
pretty much rules out shorter timeframe stock trading (like positions of
a week or less).
And since you are now restricting yourself to intermediate to long term
positions based on stock selection to govern your entry, you can not
do any kind of real performance assessment without a system tester
which can test multiple securities. Since these are now intermediate to
longer term positions and a "signal" for such an entry
occurs infrequently there will not be a satisfactory number of trades
for one market/stock to gauge performance. So, you must test on a large
number of markets/stocks to reach any kind of statistically sound
conclusion.
One at a time or in automated operation? I'd take automated.
