James:
Ananda's recommendation is my first choice, too. You could also check out
"Trade Your Way to Financial Freedom" by Van K. Tharp, although this book
extends the discussion to next-step issues like money management and trading
psychology.
You will also need individual tools for the machine Le Beau and Lucas will
show
you how to build. You can't go wrong with any material written by Tushar
Chande and J. Welles Wilder.
Good luck.

Dear James
Try "Computer Analysis of the Futures markets" by Chuck le Beau and David W
Lucas. The publisher is Business One Irwin. It is a simple yet a very good
introduction to system building.
Good Luck!

Can anyone recommend any literature or books that would help to get me started
in system building. In reading those here that have and use a 'system', I am
interested in giving it a try. If it produces nothing else, it should
certainly increase my knowledge of Metastock and its programming language. At
any rate it sounds like a worthwhile project
