The subject line about says it. I searched the manual for the
necessary info -- must be getting old; manuals aren't as easy
to cope with as they used to be -- then called Equis. The
support guy said to use Downloader to copy the relevant data
files from the cache folder to another folder, then use them to
recreate my charts and layouts in Offline mode. Okay...
I must be missing something. Doesn't work. Trouble is, my
layouts consist of half a dozen charts of a single contract, with
bars from 1-minute to daily. The cache folder contained only
two files, which turn out to be the data for 1-minute and daily
charts. I thought that would be enough, as the support person
said the multi-minute charts would be built from the 1-minute
data (assuming I understood him correctly.) That doesn't work,
because the periodicity option is grayed out when I go to make
the new charts. From the 1-minute file, 1-minute charts is all
I can make.
Can someone tell me where I'm going wrong here? Probably
have to take me by the hand and walk me through it in baby steps,
for which my apologies. However, this is forcing me to do my
after-hours analysis while still on-line. Aside from eating up my
ISP connect time pretty quickly, which seems wasteful, it just
plain annoys me. I'll much appreciate whatever help anyone
can offer.
