RE: Metastock's "language"

Thanks for the support - I'll work through the manual again. I did write a
few simple indicators for compiling an expert. I'm trading an index on a 5
minute timeframe and is using Metastock Developers Kit to import my data
from a local (South-African) data vendor - the only one I know of doing
this. Unfortunately this method only allows me to refresh one open window
(5min)automatically. The other windows (higher time frames) must be
refreshed manually. Trading in 5 minute frames, this could be very
frustrating.

The idea then came up to write an expert that will in the 5min frame also
check the higher frame as I never trade against the trend in the higher
frame. For example (in short) - it must only give me a MACD buy in the 5min
frame if the MACD-trend in the 60min frame is positive. (The concept is the
same for EOD users, ae. weekly and monthly) This is where I don't get enough
info on to define the higher frame in one expert.

Regards Wilhelm

Isn't there more information bookwise on Metastock's formula "language"? For
TradStasion you get a few books on Easy Language but for Metastock there is
nothing!
