AW: What options period?

Chris,

there are many types of option traders. Some - especially those who come
straight from college - believe in the purity of the science they have been
taught and trade volatility exclusively. Others like myself trade direction
plus volatility.

If you are new to this, may I suggest you read "Options as a Strategic
Investment", by Larry McMillan. Best intro you could get.

As regards data, I get mine through OptionVue. Quote.com says they will soon
have a satisfactory option feed (they don't have now). You absolutely need
good data, but not necessarily intraday. Most option traders take a medium
to long term view.

Hope this helps.

Kind regards,

Michael Suesserott

Are you options traders basically evaluating only the option data to find a
trade? Are you examining the future's charts to get some ideas and then
looking at the option data?
Is it important to have an option data feed or is there a good website
[reasonable priced] that has sufficient data?
Regarding options trading I'like to know how you folks are approaching it.

thanks
Chris
