<DIV><FONT size=2>Seems to me that it is not available, since MSK on startup
cannot find it.</FONT><FONT size=2><FONT size=2></DIV>
<DIV></FONT>
<DIV><FONT size=2>In MSK-lango: N.A. (not available).</FONT></DIV>
<DIV>So MSK on startup has instructions to go out and look for a specialist
"full MAPI" compliant mailer, which they</DIV>
<DIV>have preset as to be Outlook. So there is a call going out to a Outlook
program&nbsp;dll (itselves or a presence of</DIV>
<DIV>a particular dll Registry-setting, either for MAPI or OUTLOOK)</DIV>
<DIV>&nbsp;</DIV>
<DIV>Since that it will be available should you have Outlook set as the default
mailer, then it is serious, but not a major bug.</DIV>
<DIV>&nbsp;</DIV>
<DIV>Since it is also a new feature, then it is also difficult for&nbsp;non
v7x-users to comment further. Eg,</DIV>
<DIV>it could be a programmers' bug, for all I know(see call above), or an
untested (in different environments)&nbsp;programmed task.</DIV>
<DIV>&nbsp;</DIV>
<DIV>Therefore will leave this up to Lynn+EquisSupport to come up with a fix to
comply to Lynn's Equis-suggestions</DIV>
<DIV>"for the presence of the uncheck control availablity" that was&nbsp;written
in her reply mail (below).</DIV>
<DIV>&nbsp;</DIV>
<DIV>Seems too, that&nbsp;she has got the right instructions,&nbsp;and MSK a
serious bug.</DIV>
<DIV>(It is a feature&nbsp;that's not been fully tested, so they will thank you
later for reporting the bug).</DIV>
<DIV>&nbsp;</DIV>
<DIV>A question that remains&nbsp;tho is, do you indeed have &lt;on any of these
4 machines&gt; Outlook installed at all ?</DIV>
<DIV>&nbsp;</DIV>
<DIV>- If not, are all new user's liable, in the same manner you described
previously, to receive that message and</DIV>
<DIV>&nbsp; not being able to further continue the MSK start up?</DIV>
<DIV>&nbsp;</DIV>
<DIV>- If you do have, is Outlook than mastering+controling that "full Mapi"
that Lynn speaks off? So disabling</DIV>
<DIV>&nbsp; a Registry&nbsp;setting would do the job?</DIV>

    <DIV>&nbsp;</DIV>
<DIV>Outlook will only be used in Offices. For home use it is too large, too

<DIV>But even at an Office I&nbsp;will refrain from using Outlook. Simply,

    an&nbsp;underlaying object(eg a chart)</FONT></DIV>
    <DIV><FONT size=2>is not active(Open).</DIV></FONT>
    <DIV><FONT size=2>Now Open a Chart/Layout and than go back to Tools|Options
and the Chart Options TAB, and</FONT></DIV>
    <DIV><FONT size=2>notice that now </FONT><FONT size=2>the SACTB and SALCB
controls are activated, and&nbsp;you are now also able
    to&nbsp;check</FONT></DIV>
    <DIV><FONT size=2>or uncheck these controls.</FONT></DIV>
    <DIV><FONT size=2></FONT>&nbsp;</DIV>
    <DIV><FONT size=2>Now relating the above&nbsp;working theory&nbsp;to the
    below mentioned (in&nbsp;MSK v70-Pro newly present)</FONT></DIV>
    <DIV><FONT size=2><FONT color=#0000ff>Allow e-mail alerts box

    <DIV><FONT size=2>to be active(Open).&nbsp;And then when Chart/Layout is
    active(Open), the control to be activated&nbsp;as well,</FONT></DIV>
<DIV><FONT size=2>giving you the option to uncheck control (Turn it
    OFF).</FONT></DIV>
    <DIV><FONT size=2></FONT>&nbsp;</DIV>
<DIV><FONT size=2>Cumbersome? Yep! Programmers could have tested this
upfront. However, it is again one other</FONT></DIV>
    <DIV><FONT size=2>addition to the many&nbsp;FAQ's </FONT><FONT size=2>set of
    questions&nbsp;on MetaStock issue's&nbsp;that aren't explained
    anywhere,</FONT></DIV>
    <DIV><FONT size=2>and computerwise are&nbsp;logic, but when you
    think&nbsp;of it&nbsp;is unlogic </FONT><FONT size=2>in daily program
    usage.</FONT></DIV>
    <DIV><FONT size=2></FONT>&nbsp;</DIV>
<DIV><FONT size=2>Therefore, Equis Programmers, for the program's standard

    <DIV><FONT size=2>have </FONT><FONT size=2>this Allow Email

to send an e-mail using Simple MAPI to a program with multiple Profiles,
a dialog will come up asking which Profile to use. This would obviously
render e-mail alerts useless to users, since no alerts would be sent
until they came back to their machine and chose a Profile.<SPAN
