{that could mean up till Jan2001, when the Q4 figures are published,
or hangin on longer, does that make a difference? Keeping a trade
that long, then who cares what it is trading now?}

Selling Calls is something one does IF he also wants to take on
that or other obligation(s). Perhaps one doesn't want to?

In muddy markets the first thing that one does not do IS TAKE ON OBLIGATIONS.
