Ron
I have been using Fidelity for several years. Their frequent
trading rate is under $15, and the option commission ($27+-) is
reasonable. Both their trade and confirmation web speeds have
improved, and are now very good. It is hard for me to keep up with
their ever expanding web page offerings. They are currently having
a web-option trade problem, which has required considerable phone-broker
contact.

I have also used Brown and Co. for several years, and have enjoyed their
$5 rates. Recently, I have had some late web confirmations (as late
as 9 minutes), which I find intolerable, even with the low
commissions. The executions seem to be timely.

I once had an account with Dreyfus (Pacific Brokerage). I
moved on because of their unreliable web trading. Dreyfus has
apparently improved their services, and I am going to give them another
try. They have a low option commission; $15 for most stock
and option web trades.

I suggest that you check Deja.com and the Silicon Investor boards.
