Status:
It is not in the proper ASCII file layout (see DL man p.70-72).
Convert must have accepted the file layout as being a TAB-delimitted "spreadsheet" format,
where file's contents are seen as one(1) single security's data AND which spreadsheet's format
is an ASCII text file as well, something unlike the Excel/Quatro spreadsheets which are binairy
files(see the binairy content example below). The spreadsheet file format is only correct in usage
and benificial when converting a security's historical price data.
It will create the first ticker found in your file and append any converted data accordingly and
usualy based on using the dates for file sequence.
By applying Traverse Folders especialy and naturaly the Create New Files options (both on
the Destination TAB) you can FORCE the Downloader to create new A to Z ticker folders
especialy and the files will be created by Convert into these newly created folders accordingly,
eg for each line's "unavailable ticker folder" another folder and file will be created.
Placing a header might help to unconfuse Convert with this.
TICKER DATE OPEN HIGH LOW CLOSE VOL
CACS 08/11/98 16 18.375 15.75 18.25 91500
CACS 08/10/98 15.75 18 15.625 17.75 202400
KEA 11/10/99 27.125 29 27.0625 28.75 702500
KEA 11/09/99 26.5 27.1875 25.25 27.125 739400
(If above doesn't help, than replace the separating tabs for comma's and convert file as
is common when converting an ASCII text file, and don't forget to adjust header accordingly).
