Neither. Ask Gary. Depending on the CD burning date, 2.1 will or will not
contain the Year2000 modifications for Metastock support.
That your Downloader still shows a "yy" date is important for the analysis.
Change your Windows 9x short date format to display "yyyy" and you'll see
that the Lionel view is correct. Your "00" is now displayed as "1900" in
Downloader/Metastock Open Dialogs, however both tabular data view and
charting is fine.
This seems to indicate that QP last date refresh in MASTER file is not
properly done. The Downloader would complain about chronological record
misorder if the .dat data had a problem : it doesn't. Also, please try
understanding the conclusions from the tests I reported on the Quote Plus
Onelist : a Tool Convert from Metastock format to Metastock format does
repair the last date showed by Open Directory dialogs. Tool Convert does
recalculate the MASTER last date from the copied .dat records.
The others errors 86, 87, ... QP_META crashes are real and the important
issue : the Metastock update never completes. Running the program again
seems to indicate that stock splits are also applied again. Danger. There
is no other words to characterize the results than unreliable database.
