Hi Lionel

"... Does the combination of XL and MSFL provide the equivalent of a
programming language? ..."

I had never thought about importing from Metastock to XL, programming in VBA
or VB and then returning the output to Metastock for charting or system
testing etc. i.e., effectively using VBA or VB as a programming language.

Once it gets to Excel then I usually keep it there. Most of the workbooks
and VB programs that I have seen also leave it there.

Hope that I answered your question?

The workbook was the first that I had seen that had a "MSFL" module along
with the standard modules: trading systems, indicators, statistics, money
management, etc.

Best regards

Walter

| Walter:
|
| We really dont need a bunch of indicators. We do need an easy to use
| flexible formula language so that we can develop and exchange indicators
| and systems. TAS does offer this, however it still is a dos program and
| probably not Y2K compliant.
|
| Can you post or send me some information on the XL workbook that works
with
| the MSFL? Does the combination of XL and MSFL provide the equivalent of a
| programming language?
|
| Regards
|
| Lionel
