I have the exact same problem with my own indicators in MS. When I
examine the data elements using the Data Window, I find that MS has, in
some cases rounded the same data element to 2 decimals, 3 decimals and
even 4 or 5 decimals and I can't figure out the reason for it either.
I'm using the same MS input into TAS to calculate the same indicators
and periodically, the answers vary. Not always, but enough to throw me
off. I also use the same input into Excel and those calculation results
agree with the TAS results 100% of the time.
That's the main reasons for moving my system over to my own code. At
least in a programming language, I have control over the number of
relative decimals.
If you figure out what they're doing and can devise a way to control it,
let me know.

Hi everybody,
I am struggling with the Data Window data in MS 6.52. For some(?)
reasons, its accuracy (# of
decimals) varies, and sometimes a price gets rounded off. For instance,
for SII on 05/28/92 in MS
6.52 it shows
O 10.00
H 10.50
L 9.625
C 10.38
while in MS 5.11 the same looks like
O 10.0000
H 10.5000
L 9.6250
C 10.3750
Fishy in MS 6.52 is rounded off C, let alone visual inconvenience. Don't
know where to look for to
correct it. Has somebody seen anything like this? Sometimes moving to
other date range makes it
change to 3 decimals, but cannot see why, how to hold it. Though, in
fractions prices are shown
right (well ... then there is nothing to round off). Mind that for both
MS versions I used the same
MS data file; so, the problem is not there, in the data file.
It's awfully frustrating to see prices that just don't exist (like
$10.38).
Thanks.
Cheers, Vitaly
