Firstly: since your email is not about Fibonacci trading, you should change
the subject.
Secondly: The displaced moving average was developed by Curtis Dahl almost
50 years ago. It was meant for making all the calculations by hand. Only
desk calculators were available at that time. The results are an
oscillator similar to an MACD or Price oscillator. There is really nothing
special or esoteric about it.
The moving average window allows you to enter a displaced moving average.
Page 160 of the MS V6.5 Manual also discusses this.

Try different amounts of displacement and see which one seems to give you
the best signals
