2) Why doesn't MetaStock for Windows have macros?

The changes to MetaStock for Windows (layouts, templates, named-charts, etc.)
have reduced the need for macros. For example, you can now display specific
indicators and rotate through securities; apply a template to numerous security
files; or print multiple charts - all in a few steps without needing macros.

Microsoft has defined a standard macro language ("VBA") that is used by only
a few programs. The advantage of a standard language are huge - you'll only have
to learn one set of macro tools. Rather than implementing our own non-standard
macros, we plan to use the new VBA macro language when tools for its
implementation become available. In the meantime, there are many third-party
macro programs available for Windows. You can use one program to automate all of
your Windows programs. (What you learn automating MetaStock, you can apply to
automating any of your Windows programs.)

Equis And Microsoft Working
Together

In the course of developing our new line of Windows products, we've also
developed a relationship with software giant Microsoft. We've spent a lot of
time and effort making our products work with the industry-leading Microsoft
Office line of products. And we've made sure that all of our technical support
representatives are Microsoft Certified Professional Product Specialists.

As a result of our tight fit with their product line, Microsoft has been
eager to let us show our Windows products to its customers. This includes demo
space in their booth at COMDEX (the largest computer industry trade show), a
live demo on Microsoft TV, participation in the Microsoft Office Tour, and a
software demo on the Microsoft Office CD-ROM.

HOW DOES IT HELP YOU?

You'll benefit from our relationship with Microsoft in two ways. First,
you'll get products that are extremely compatible with the industry's leading
line of software - Microsoft Office. Even if you don't use Word or Excel,
you'll find that the Equis line of Windows programs use standard Windows
commands that will help you get up to speed in no time.

The second way you'll benefit is from the growth of the investment analysis
industry. As more investors become familiar with Equis software and the value of
investment analysis, companies like Equis will provide you with better and
better tools. You win both ways!

WHY OFFICE COMPATIBLE?

Did you know that over ten million copies of Microsoft Office have been sold
to date? By designing our Windows products to be Certified Microsoft Office
Compatible, we can provide you with the latest, most up-to-date Windows
technology. In fact, MetaStock for Windows, The DownLoader for Windows and
OptionScope™ were among the first software
applications of any kind to receive the Office Compatible certification. And
they're the only investment programs with the certification.

WHY DID ALL OF OUR REPS BECOME CERTIFIED?

Simply put, to help answer your questions better. Every one of our technical
support representatives had to pass rigorous certification exams to become
Microsoft Certified Professional Product Specialists. As a result, they're
better prepared to answer your questions about our Equis line of Windows
products. It's just another way we try to make sure you get the best support
available anywhere.

WHY DID Equis GO TO COMDEX?

Because MetaStock for Windows was one of the first Microsoft Office
Compatible programs, Microsoft invited Equis to demonstrate the program at its
Office booth at Fall COMDEX last November in Las Vegas. For two days, Equis
President Steve Achelis wowed COMDEX attendees by showing them how easy it is to
analyze investments with this all-new program.

WHAT IS MICROSOFT TV?

After seeing what an advanced, yet elegant program MetaStock for Windows is,
the Microsoft Office team wanted Equis to participate on Microsoft TV. It's
their own broadcast designed for businesses - and anyone else - interested in
computing. Allan McNichol, our MetaStock "guru," was invited to demonstrate
MetaStock for Windows at Microsoft Studios in Redmond, Washington. Allan showed
how MetaStock's new object-oriented interface makes it easy for anyone familiar
with Windows programs to get started charting and analyzing their
investments.
